She's back...

Its been to long...I miss everyone. Unfortuantely things with the whole house business has taken way longer then expected, which I should have known would happen... But I was optimistic and truly believing we were like super heros, super human and can do it all. Ummm nope not even close, epic fail! I'm laughing right now. So where are we? We are moving in, have been for almost a month... Between two houses, living without a kitchen. But we are on the home stretch, I SWEAR we really are. This week should be it *sigh* SHOULD is the key word. Everything changes and usually I end up completely wrong should truly stop planning. Right, like that will ever happen. So where have I been?

Besides the project, my son started preschool... Yep PRESCHOOL! Where did the time go?
Oh and Soccer...

This little boy is the big reason why I have been MIA, but I'm his mommy first and foremost. So here's my question for you guys... I have this AMAZING friend who is good at so many things, being a mommy, she's super amazing with beauty tips, home organization and thrifty shopping (but you'd NEVER know it). I'm trying to get her to start a blog... Maybe with a little push, you guys could help encourage her. Maybe some ideas of what you want her share??? Let's get her out in bloggy world, trust me she'd be amazing...

Friends, I'm so glad to be back. I've missed you all so much. :*

More family adventures...

So in light of everything that we are taking on, I'm not sure how I could manage remodeling a home, packing, moving and finishing odd projects around our current home as well as helping my hubby with his business, raise a toddler and keep up on Lovefeast. So unfortunately Lovefeast will be on vacation until August 1st! But the end result of all this craziness will be (hopefully will be) just what this little family needs, MORE ROOM! We are remodeling a 2700 sq ft home from the 1960's. And boy is it 60's... Pink bathroom, brown kitchen, brown carpet, all that fun stuff... Now its gone! I tell you what, using a sledgehammer to rip through walls sure can be a stress reliever. Apparently my hubby thought it was cute (why?, I don't know) and was taking pictures and I didn't know it. Whatever. So the brown house (the name my son has given it), yes oh so brown house is pretty much gutted. I think I have my paint colors picked out, cabinets, flooring and all that. Just need to figure out all the appliances and if I can find a farmhouse sink to fit in the budget. I doubt it but I am gonna try REAL hard. That's the jist of the project and what we have been doing. I will post more pics soon. If you have any ideas or fun decorating websites please share!! Love to you all...

AdelynStone

Kristan the owner of the shop AdelynStone (I LOVE the name and the meaning behind it.) Her clutches, ummm I am in love with. I get compliments on mine ALL the time. Plus it is SO handy.

Kristan is a 25 year old SAHM transitioning into the WAHM title. Originally from Detroit, she moved to Nashville (3 years ago) where she found a love for music and a passion for the creative side of life. Her two children are her inspiration, hence the name of her Etsy shop, adelynSTONE. The shop started out as a Boutique Shop, but recently Kristan has found a new love... Greeting Cards. You can also find Kristan blogging over at www.kristanlynn.blogspot.com. There you'll read about her enjoying simple things in life, DIY tips, great Etsy finds, upcycling ideas and more. Where is she when she's not blogging or working on Etsy? OUTSIDE, getting dirty with the kids, gardening, rolling around in the grass and playing tag around the big ol' tree in the back yard.

She is giving away any 4 cards from her shop! You get to choose, how awesome is that!! I have added some pictures of a few she currently has so you get the idea! So cute and just in time for Mother's Day. (Wish I could enter... *tear*)

Crystelle Chic

Gorgeous Crystelle who makes some amazing items. I wear my hat ALL the time. She has been generous enough to offer a $25 shop credit to the winner as well as a 20% off discount code, enter LOVE20 at
checkout at her Etsy shop.
Her is the beautiful Crystelle...

Crystelle Chic is crocheted and handmade accessories for the young and young at heart - from yarn to beads and everything in between. I specialize in crocheted hats, newborn photography props, beaded earrings and hair accessories.

I am a stay-at-home mom of two wonderful children, Caitlyn - 3, and Sam - 16 months and I LOVE crafting! I started making necklaces out of seed beads in high school and then moved onto earrings after I got married nearly 7 years ago so I could have a beautiful pair of earrings for every occasion and outfit on a tight budget. Christmas came around and not everyone in my family wears jewelry so I taught myself to knit and crochet, beginning with simple scarves that usually were a bit triangular and then baby blankets for friends. After countless hours of practice, I now mostly crochet hats for kids and adults and love making photography props for newborns. I don't sell them {yet}, but I make handmade cards for my loved one's birthdays and have an entire TV armoire dedicated to stamps, paper and other card supplies! My yarn supply takes up LOTS of cupboard and closet space and I have it stashed in places all over the house. I do have hopes that one day I'll turn it all into awesome crocheted projects. My goal is to make high-quality, well-made items at an affordable price. As a bargain shopper myself, I know what it's like to be on a tight budget, yet still want to look cute.

Once again the winner of Crystelle Chic's giveaway will be winning a $25 shop credit... She is also offering 20% off in her shop using code LOVE20!!

Kickin' off the Giveaway...

HeylaniJewelry

Our first GIVEAWAY which I am so excited for.
Here is some info about the gorgeous Lani (Isn't she adorable)...
Lani is the loving name family and friends use for me.

As a young girl, a family friend taught me how to string beads during a trying time in my family-life.  I've been creating jewelry since I was that young 12-year old girl... the true impact of my friend's creative nurturing was immensely important to my growth as an artist and a woman!
Fast-forward many years.... with my husband’s loving support, I spent a year of intense and fun days studying metal-smithing and gemology at The Gemological Institute of America.

Undeniably, creating jewelry is important to me, so when I travel I’m always on the look out for beads, baubles, shells, and other objects that I can use as I’m creating. Sooo... I’m able to add some of the ‘love’ of that location into that piece of jewelry… be it London, Bali, New Zealand… the wearer has a piece of love and energy from a location around the world! I also incorporate my signature green seed bead into my designs, this bead signifies my love of  the ocean and the earth!

Here are the ways to her shop and blog
